JUMP AROUND
Minimal preparation needed, flowy silhouettes and pockets? It sounds too good to be true, but jumpsuits are a wardrobe staple for a reason. Everyday Runway columnist Melissa Berry breaks down this summer’s must-have jumpsuit picks to make your season styling a breeze.

There’s something about a great jumpsuit. They’re easy to put on, may be dressed up or down and they elongate your frame. It’s no surprise then that jumpsuits are the uniform of choice for this spring and summer. That is like music to my ears!

I’ve always loved a good jumpsuit because you don’t have to think about pairing a top and bottom. You just throw it on, add your favorite accessories and off you go.

There are so many variations on this classic silhouette, so whether you’re heading to a doctor appointment, running weekend errands, or hopping onto a Zoom meeting, there truly is something for every occasion. Jumpsuits are such easy yet chic wardrobe builders that you can dress up with strappy heels and wedges, or dress down with flats or even sneakers. They can also be layered with your favorite denim jacket or cozy cardigan as a nice alternative to dresses.

Since there are so many great options out there, I did some of the legwork for you and found a few that I’m sure you’ll love. They range in price, color and style but they all have one thing in common—ease!

Pretty in Pink

This belted linen blend jumpsuit by Zara ($69) is such a great way to give your work-from-home look an instant upgrade. The lapel collar with short cuffed sleeves adds just the right touch of sophistication. Don’t have much pink in your closet? This is a great excuse to give this beautiful hue a try!

A Timeless Classic

Thank you H&M for this anything-but-basic black jumpsuit. You simply can’t beat this price for only $24.99, and it will never go out of style. Dress it up with jewelry and wedges, or go a more casual route by pairing it with a denim jacket and your favorite sneakers. This is also a great travel piece that you can throw in your suitcase and layer with other items.

Green With Envy

Be the envy of all of your friends this season with this fabulous ASOS kimono sleeve culotte jumpsuit ($50) in forest green. The combination of the V-neck, high waist and wide leg will give you a beautiful, elongated silhouette. A strappy sandal adds just the right touch for a perfect date night look!

Lady in Red

Next to black, red is definitely a staple in my wardrobe, and a great way to add a pop of color to your closet. This halter neck jumpsuit by Julia Jordan is available at Nordstrom ($138) and is such a great alternative to a little black dress. I just love the halter top silhouette, which may be worn all year round.

You simply can’t go wrong with this utility jumpsuit by Free People at Revolve ($148). It’s casual chic at its very best, and the adjustable shoulder straps help you achieve the perfect fit. Wear it with sneakers or even your favorite flip-flops, it’s the perfect summer staple.

There you have it! I hope you enjoy shopping for your favorite jumpsuit this season. Remember to experiment with a variety of shoes and accessories. You’ll be surprised to see how many different ways you can style just one jumpsuit!
