HEAD SCARVES
You never had a choice in your diagnosis, but that doesn’t mean your style must go out the window.

No one has a choice in their diagnosis, but patients across the country find being creative with personal style gives them the opportunity to feel like themselves again. While some favor wigs and hats, the right silky, patterned scarf can feel luxurious while adding a splash of personality and pizzaz.

The Pirate:

  1. Fold a square scarf in half to form a large triangle.
  2. Pick up by the folded edges and place over your head.
  3. Bring the corners back to the nape of your neck and tie them together. Do this so the knot is over the rest of the scarf.
  4. Tie the ends together one more time to create a solid knot. If the scarf is too long for your desired look, knot again to shorten the length.

The Bow:

  1. Fold a square scarf in half diagonally and pick up the scarf by its folded edges. Drape the scarf over your head, similarly to “The Pirate” or “The Lazy Sunday,” but instead of tying these ends together, bring both corners over to one side.
  2. Tie the ends of the scarf together by your ear, then use the ends to create a bow. Make sure loops are similar in size to create the perfect bow. Voila!

The Twist:

  1. Start with a long, narrow scarf, or fold a square scarf in half. The longer the scarf, the better this style works.
  2. Pull the scarf over your head, then loosely tie at the nape of your neck.
  3. Bring the ends of the scarf to one side and twist them together until the ends reach your armpit or your desired length.
  4. Tie the end of the twisted section into a knot. To get more volume in the twisted section, carefully tug at each side of the twist, working your way from top to bottom.

The Lazy Sunday:

  1. Take a square scarf and fold in half diagonally. If the scarf is much larger than your head, fold back a few inches at the top.
  2. Gather the scarf at the folded corners and bring it over your head. Tie these corners at the nape of your neck and bring the corner that’s hanging down to the front of your face. It’s the perfect style for relaxed mornings with coffee and family.
